Celebrity's Fare Tiers Explained

Cruise Only vs. All Included — and what's in every fare regardless.

Celebrity offers two fare structures: Cruise Only (base fare, drinks and WiFi purchased separately) and All Included (Classic Beverage Package + Basic WiFi bundled in). All Included is not automatic — it's a fare type you select at booking, typically at a premium of around $80/person/day over Cruise Only.

Three Ways to Book

Cruise Only

Base fare

  • Main dining room (all meals)
  • Oceanview Café (buffet)
  • Entertainment + activities
  • Fitness center
  • Pool + Solarium
  • Port charges + taxes
Drinks and WiFi purchased separately — onboard or pre-cruise.

All Included

Classic drinks + Basic WiFi bundled

  • Everything in Cruise Only
  • Classic Beverage Package (drinks up to $10)
  • Basic WiFi (1 device per person)
  • Beverage package gratuity
Saves ~$200–800/person vs. paying à la carte. Available on most sailings (not Galapagos).

The Retreat

Suite tier — fully premium

  • Premium Beverage Package (no price cap)
  • Premium WiFi (multi-device)
  • Gratuities included
  • Luminae restaurant (suite-exclusive)
  • Retreat deck + lounge + butler
  • Priority boarding + disembarkation
Separate from All Included — Retreat guests do not select the All Included fare.

Booking tip: match the fare to how you travel

Cruise Only works if you drink lightly and will be on shore most of the trip.

All Included almost always pencils out for guests who drink daily — Celebrity's à la carte drink prices make the bundle a clear save for most people.

Book The Retreat if you want Premium drinks (no price cap), multi-device WiFi, Luminae, and butler service. Gratuities are covered at that tier.

Classic vs. Premium Drink Package

Classic

Bundled in All Included fare

  • Beers, wines, spirits up to $10/item
  • Cocktails and mixed drinks
  • Specialty coffees + teas
  • Bottled water, sodas, juices
  • Mocktails and non-alcoholic drinks

Drinks over $10: you pay the difference. Some specialty cocktails and premium wines exceed the cap.

Premium

Upgrade (~$20/person/day) or included in The Retreat

  • Everything in Classic
  • Premium spirits (no price cap)
  • Fine wines by the glass (no price cap)
  • Premium cocktails at all venues
  • Minibar restocked daily
  • Sparkling wine in stateroom

Worth upgrading if you prefer top-shelf or want no surprises on your bill. Less value for casual drinkers who stay within Classic limits.

Tip: upgrading to Premium before sailing via the Celebrity app is typically cheaper than the onboard rate.

Frequently Asked

What's the difference between Cruise Only and All Included? +
Cruise Only is the base fare — you pay for drinks and WiFi separately onboard or pre-cruise. All Included bundles a Classic Beverage Package and Basic WiFi into the fare. Celebrity estimates All Included saves $200–$800/person vs. paying à la carte onboard. If you plan to drink daily and want WiFi, All Included almost always makes sense at the time of booking.
Is the Classic drink package actually useful? +
Yes, for most guests. The Classic package covers beers, wines, spirits, and cocktails up to $10/item, plus specialty coffees and bottled water. It handles the vast majority of casual drinking. If you want premium wines by the glass, top-shelf spirits, or anything over the per-drink cap, you'd pay the difference or upgrade to Premium.
Are gratuities included in Celebrity's fares? +
It depends on how you book. Standard daily crew gratuities (~$18–22/person/day) are typically added to your onboard account on Cruise Only fares. Some promotions and agent rates include gratuities — confirm at booking. The Retreat (suite tier) includes gratuities as part of the suite package.
Can I upgrade the Classic package to Premium? +
Yes — upgrade from Classic to Premium for ~$20/person/day, purchasable before sailing via the Celebrity app or website (usually cheaper than onboard). Premium removes the per-drink price cap and adds minibar restocking.
Do Retreat (suite) guests get a better package? +
Yes — and it's separate from All Included entirely. The Retreat includes the Premium drink package, Premium WiFi (multi-device), and gratuities as part of the suite tier. Retreat guests don't book All Included; it's already bundled at the premium level.
