Celebrity Cruises Dining Guide

Included venues, specialty restaurants, and how to eat well at sea.

Book These Before You Board

Eden (Edge Class)

Theatrical dinner experience — books out fast on all 7-night+ sailings. Book as soon as reservations open.

Le Voyage (Edge Class)

Daniel Boulud's flagship restaurant. Forbes 5-star rated on Celebrity Xcel. Limited seats, high demand.

Murano (Solstice/M-Class)

The best specialty option on older ships. Intimate — not many tables per night.

All Dining Venues

Main Dining Room Included All ships

Full-service restaurant, open for all meals. Classic preparations with rotating menus. Elegant but not stuffy.

Oceanview Café Included All ships

Celebrity's buffet — significantly better than industry average. Open all day with multiple stations.

Eden Specialty (cover charge) Edge Class

Three-deck living garden. Theatrical dinner with ambient performers. One of the most distinctive restaurant experiences at sea. Book immediately.

Le Voyage Specialty (cover charge) Edge Class

Daniel Boulud's namesake restaurant. Forbes Travel Guide's first ever five-star restaurant at sea (Celebrity Xcel). The flagship fine dining option.

Luminae Retreat guests only All ships

The Retreat exclusive restaurant. Separate menu, personalized service, elevated quality. The single biggest dining perk of Retreat booking.

Murano Specialty (cover charge) Solstice + Millennium Class

European fine dining. Classic tableside preparations — dover sole, beef wellington, flambéed desserts. The best specialty option on older ships.

Raw on 5 Specialty (cover charge) Select Edge Class

Seafood-focused restaurant. Oysters, sushi, ceviche, and sashimi. Lighter and more casual than other specialty venues.

Bora Specialty (cover charge) Celebrity Xcel

Alfresco restaurant at the top of the ship. Mediterranean dinner with tableside preparations and a Bloody Mary brunch bar. Best views of any restaurant onboard.

Mosaic Specialty (cover charge) Celebrity Xcel

Destination-inspired concept. Chefs adapt menus based on ports of call — the dishes literally change as you sail.

The Porch Specialty (cover charge) Edge Class

Casual, alfresco. Sandwiches, salads, lighter fare. Best for lunch on sea days when you want to stay outdoors.

Spa Café Included All ships

Light, health-forward menu. Smoothies, salads, wraps near the AquaClass/spa area. Free for all guests.

Café al Bacio Included (non-alcoholic) All ships

Specialty coffee bar. Lattes, cappuccinos, pastries — covered by Classic/Premium drink package for coffee drinks.

AquaClass: Blu Restaurant

AquaClass cabin guests have exclusive access to Blu — a specialty restaurant serving spa-inspired cuisine (lighter, health-forward preparations). It's included in the AquaClass cabin fare, not an extra charge. If you're booking AquaClass, Blu is a significant perk — quieter than the main dining room with a more refined menu.

Dining Strategy Tips

  • Book Eden and Le Voyage the day reservations open — both consistently sell out on Edge Class sailings.
  • The Main Dining Room quality on Celebrity is genuinely good. Not every meal needs to be at a specialty restaurant.
  • Ask about multi-restaurant dining packages before sailing — Celebrity often bundles 3–4 specialty dinners at a discount vs. booking individually.
  • AquaClass guests: Blu is your dining home base. Consider it when deciding between AquaClass and a standard Veranda.
  • Retreat guests: Luminae operates like a private restaurant for the suite tower. Breakfast, lunch, and dinner — reservations aren't usually needed but dinner can fill up on busy ships.

Frequently Asked

Are specialty restaurants worth it on Celebrity? +
Generally yes — especially Eden and Le Voyage on Edge Class ships. The quality noticeably exceeds the included main dining room, and cover charges ($35–60) are modest relative to the experience. Most frequent Celebrity sailors do at least one or two specialty dinners per sailing.
Can I make dining reservations before I board? +
Yes. Specialty restaurant reservations open online once you have a booking. Make them before sailing — Eden in particular books out fast, especially on 7-night sailings.
What is Luminae and who can access it? +
Luminae is the exclusive restaurant for The Retreat (suite) guests only. It serves a separate, elevated menu with personalized service. You cannot dine at Luminae without a Retreat suite booking.
Is Eden a restaurant or an entertainment venue? +
Both, simultaneously. Eden is a multi-level living garden space that functions as a restaurant in the evening (with a performance/theatrical component) and as a bar and lounge during the day. The dinner experience includes ambient performers and is one of the most memorable at sea.
