The Galley: Your Safety Net

The Galley is VV's no-reservation marketplace — open all day with multiple stations (Mexican, Asian, Mediterranean, burgers, salads, desserts). It's not a buffet in the traditional sense: food is made-to-order at each station. If you couldn't get a reservation anywhere else, you won't go hungry. Most sailors are surprised by how good it is.

  • → Razzle Dazzle serves excellent brunch — often easier to book than dinner and genuinely excellent.
  • → Don't skip the late-night options. Pizza Place and Shawarma Shack are often the best meals of the trip after a long night.
  • → Lunch service at The Wake (when available) is often walk-in friendly and overlooked by most sailors.
  • → If the app crashes on booking day, keep refreshing — it's the most-trafficked moment of the entire booking window.
  • → Dietary restrictions are well-handled. Nearly every restaurant can accommodate vegetarian, vegan, and gluten-free — tell them when you book.

It depends on your fare tier and cabin category. Rockstar suite holders get priority at 120 days. Most sailors can book starting 45-90 days before sailing, depending on membership status. Check the VV app for your exact window.
What if I can't get a reservation for a restaurant? +
The Galley never requires reservations and is always available — it's a multi-station marketplace with excellent food. You can also check for walk-in availability on embarkation day before crowds fill slots.
Can I make dining reservations through my advisor? +
No — dining reservations are made through the Virgin Voyages app once your booking window opens. We can advise on strategy, but we can't book on your behalf.
Do I need to pre-book every meal? +
No. Many sailors only pre-book the hardest-to-get spots (Test Kitchen, Gunbae, The Wake). The Galley is always open, and most restaurants have walk-in availability for early or late seatings.
