Things First-Timers Always Wish They Knew
The app is everything
Download the Virgin Voyages app and use it. Dining reservations, daily schedule, messaging, your account balance — it all lives there. This isn't optional.
The Galley is better than you expect
Most first-timers dismiss it as a fallback option, then end up eating there multiple times. Multi-station marketplace with excellent food — not a buffet.
Book MNVV onboard
A Make Next Voyage Voyage is a future cruise deposit purchased on the ship that gives you Sailor Loot for a future booking. If you love the trip, buy one before you disembark. It has a multi-year window and is transferable.
There's no rushing the disembarkation
Self-carry departure starts early (before 7 AM). Assisted departure runs through the morning. Don't book a flight before noon on disembarkation day — buffer matters.
Motion is minimal but prepare if needed
VV ships are large (110,000 GT) and relatively stable. But Caribbean seas can get choppy. If you're prone to motion sickness, bring patches or wristbands just in case.
