Common Misconceptions

Myth: Only basic food is included, good restaurants cost extra

Every restaurant on the ship — including The Wake (steakhouse), Razzle Dazzle (vegetarian-forward), Korean BBQ at Gunbae, and the 20+ others — is included in your fare.

Myth: The free drinks mean watered-down well liquor

The free beverage package is non-alcoholic: water, soda, juice, tea, and drip coffee. VV doesn't bundle a free alcohol package — but the Bar Tab credit system lets you pre-purchase drink credit at a discount.

Myth: Gratuities are added at the end like other cruise lines

No. VV was the first major line to permanently include gratuities in the fare. You'll never see a gratuity charge anywhere.

Myth: Bimini Beach Club access means everything at Bimini is free

Beach access and basic amenities are included, but food, drinks, and premium beach clubs at Bimini are extra. Use your Bar Tab credit here.

About the Bar Tab

VV sells pre-purchased drink credit called the Bar Tab. You buy it before sailing at a discount (e.g., pay $300, get $350 onboard credit). It covers alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks, specialty coffee, and the juice bar. It's per cabin (not per person), non-refundable, and the one area where VV does add-on-sell aggressively. Frequently Asked

Is gratuity included? +
Yes, always. Gratuities are baked into every VV fare — you will never see a line on your bill for tips, and there are no envelopes at the end.
What beverages are free? +
Still and sparkling water, non-pressed juices, sodas, teas, drip coffee, and select mocktails. Alcoholic drinks, specialty coffee, and pressed juices are extra.
Is WiFi really free? +
Yes. Standard WiFi (sufficient for browsing and messaging) is included in all fares. There's no premium tier to upsell — one speed, always free.
What is VoyageFair and does it change what's included? +
VoyageFair is VV's fare tier system (Base, Essential, Premium). What's listed as always included above is included in every tier. The tiers differ in how much Sailor Loot, cancellation flexibility, and Shore Things credits are bundled in — not in what's free onboard.
Are shore excursions included? +
No — Shore Things (VV's term for excursions) are always extra. You book and pay for them separately, though higher fare tiers include a Shore Things credit.
